Chat & Chew with Tony De Nonno

The Italian Students Organization will host a Chat & Chew with Tony De Nonno on Tuesday, May 12denonno, 2009, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm in room 125, Nesbitt Hall (33rd and Market Streets).

The Drexel community is invited to enjoy free refreshments and watch Tony De Nonno’s 1-hour PBS documentary “Heaven Touches Brooklyn in July”. Following the screening, Tony De Nonno will hold an informal discussion to talk about his work and life. Members of the Piazza Nuova Lodge, Order Sons of Italy in America of Yardley, PA will also be in attendance to network with attendees.

Tony DeNonno has produced, written and directed more than 50 award-winning documentaries which have been broadcast on almost every major TV network and are in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, alongside directors Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen. “Heaven Touches Brooklyn in July” is narrated by John Turturro and Michael Badalucco and documents the 300 year-old ritual of “The Dance of Giglio” in New York.
